Hi There!

My story is a bit complicated, but in a nutshell, here it is:

Girl meets Boy in a uniform.

Girl falls head over heels with Boy.

They plan a wedding in a week.

Boy goes away for training for several months. 

  Boy picks up girl and they move to Louisiana. 

They have a daughter - named Avery.

He gets deployed to Korea for a year - she moves back home to Colorado with Avery.

He returns and the family moves to San Antonio for a few years.

They move back home to Colorado. 

And here we are - a family of 3, 12 years after falling madly in love, we are back to our roots.

Boy is still active duty in the Air Force

Girl is now working as a marketing manager in the engineering field

Avery is now an active, young tween and my "mini me"

I'm always being told I look too young to be a mom of an 11-year old, that I must have "a nice pair of genes." "A Nice Pair of Genes" is a blog devoted to all things I love: fashion, cosmetics, home decor, and random things that come out of my head!  I hope you enjoy!
